The Runway of Honor will be located at Lowry beneath the B-52 taking off and flying west. Bordered by runway lights, the Runway of Honor will be comprised of commemorative bricks inscribed with names of Veterans, aviators, family and friends. These bricks will forever link yourself or a loved one to the past and present of Aviation history and our country’s Veterans.
Both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can earn their Aviation Merit Badge/Patch through an extensive four hour class. The Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum Restoration Department is tasked with preserving many of the collection’s artifacts. Activities range from simple routine cleaning of pieces to undertaking major restoration projects. Although none of the Museum’s artifacts are ever again expected to function as originally intended, it is our goal to reconfigure these precious treasures to as close to original condition as possible for accurate representation.
