Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum is committed to meeting the educational needs of our community by inspiring and educating the coming generations of aviators, astronauts, scientists and leaders.

To fulfill our mission, we offer a wide variety of programs for members of our community.

In addition to our regular onsite tours and programs, Wings sponsors and/or hosts a wide range of additional fun, exciting and educational programs for youth of all ages throughout the year.

Onsite Programs

Wings Over the Rockies offers a variety of onsite programs that student and adult groups can choose from. Our programs help promote and educate students and adults about aviation and aerospace. Even if you are a beginner and want to learn the basics, we can guide you through the general aspect of aviation  and aerospace.  If your a long time aviation enthusiast and are looking to gain more knowledge, we can help. Our programs offer groups a chance for a guided tour, time in our simulator lab, assemble a balsa airplane, or map out a flight plan.  Our education programs focus on the history, the present, and the future of aviation and aerospace, as well as the forces that act upon flight.  Our main focus is to educate groups on the importance of flight and aerospace.  Whatever your group is looking for in aviation and aerospace, we got it!!

Volunteers

Our volunteers in the Education Department are the foundation to making our programs grow and to educate students.  Their knowledge and friendliness help guide you through the Museum hangar of over 44,000 square feet and over three dozen aircraft.  Our volunteers are trained in each of our programs and are experts in aviation and aerospace.  Our volunteers make your experience here at Wings Over the Rockies an forgettable moment. If you are interested in volunteering in the Education Department please contact Liz Ann Fischer at 303-360-5360 x:111 or lfischer@wingsmuseum.org.
