Come learn about the origin, growth and significance of the Apollo Space Program as presented by former Lockheed Martin engineer, Mr. Stephen Kelly.
Mr. Kelly will begin the lecture with a dive into the Apollo 204 fire which killed astronauts Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee and nearly derailed America’s race to space before it began. The first 40 minutes will be lecture based while the last 20 minutes will be a walking tour around several Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum artifacts, including our Apollo BP-1101A command module which was used for flotation testing in the Gulf of Mexico in 1965.
The lecture will take place on January 29th from 1:00 PM – 2:00PM in our Harrison Ford Welcome Theater. Interested? Tickets will also give you entry into the museum for the day.
Are you a museum member? Admission is FREE but an RSVP is recommended. Sign in to secure your seats.
