Build skills for tomorrow’s industries. From photographers to real estate agents, drones are fast becoming an essential tool in dozens of industries. Young or young at heart, we invite you to join our master hobbyist, Tom Neff, as he walks you through drone kit creation and flight inside our World War II-era hangar. With over 40 years of RC aircraft flight experience, Mr. Neff will give you the tools and confidence you need to build indispensable job skills or to just have some weekend fun!
What to expect:
A 5-week course starting Tuesday, January 9th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Class continues each Tuesday for five weeks)
Learn to build and fly your own drone
Practice flying your drone inside the museum
Engage in non-GPS drone safety training with a certified RC aircraft flight instructor
AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) drone registration will be obtained with guidance and assistance from instructors
Take home your drone, controller, transmitter and other flight essentials
Cost is $450 if the attendee has their own 6 channel (minimum) controller and micro-receiver.
Cost is $499 for new attendees and those without flight essentials.
