Introduction to Ground School

Intro Ground School - Wings Museum

Introduction to Ground School is a four-part workshop created to offer students ages 12-17 the basics of pilot training and inspire a love of flight.

The cost to attend ground school is $30. This fee provides the attendee with an annual “student membership” to Wings Over the Rockies. Museum members are FREE.

This course includes an introductory FLIGHT in a single-engine aircraft with a certified Colorado pilot. Flights will be individually scheduled at a later date, and will take place at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight on the south side of Centennial Airport.

  • Aircraft systems and instruments
  • Airport signs and lighting
  • Airspace fundamentals

Private Pilot Ground School

Private Pilot Ground School - Wings Museum

For those who are ready to begin flight training, Private Pilot Ground School is a comprehensive course perfect for current and aspiring student pilots.

This 8-week Ground School will cover the subject areas of the FAA Private Pilot Aeronautical Knowledge Exam. This course is taught by Certified Instructors, and materials are included! Classroom ground instruction offers a great way to start training as efficiently and economically as possible, providing a significant cost savings versus one-on-one lessons.
