Steve Willis was born in Calif. Graduated San Jose State and commissioned at 2nd Lt United States Air Force. He learned to fly light airplanes at San Jose State and was sent to Armed Forces Air Intelligence Center (AFAITC) Lowry AFB Denver, Co.
Steve did one tour in South East Asia (SEA), three years as an instructor at AFAITC, Lowry AFB, a second tour SEA as Targeting Office airborne command post plus three years as a Minuteman Missile Combat Crew Commander in Ellsworth AFB South Dakota.
Steve also served two years at the target office 28th Bomb Wing Ellsworth AFB, then was transferred to Air Force Reserve and served an additional 15 years (total time 25 years). His various assignments in the reserve included Soviet Awareness and thirty years as a civilian GS-14 photo interpreter with DIA and CIA. He currently flies with Civil Air Patrol and works two months a year as a volunteer US Park Service Ranger.
