Visitors from April to September will “discover the architect of flight” at Colorado’s Official Air & Space Museum

Denver, CO – March 15, 2017 – Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum (Wings) is proud to announce the arrival and unveiling of the DaVinci Machines Exhibition, on loan from the Museum of Leonardo DaVinci in Florence, Italy.

On display at Wings from April 1st through September 30th, the DaVinci Machines Exhibition is an interactive showcase of over 65 Leonardo DaVinci machines focused on flight, war, mechanics and more. The exhibit will also feature officially licensed copies of the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, both DaVinci paintings, as well as an immersive kids’ area, a 45-minute film and guided tours.

The exhibit will be open to the public beginning April 1st at 5:00 PM during an “unveiling event” which features food, drink and a special performance of “DaVinci & Michelangelo: The Titans Experience”. This unique performance offers the audience an in-depth look at the incredible similarities between two of history’s greatest geniuses.

“The interactive machines really give kids and adults alike the appreciation for DaVinci’s genius,” said DaVinci Machines Exhibition curator, Mark Rogers. ”Leonardo DaVinci was such an inspirational figure for so many people and it is a true pleasure to be able to showcase his work at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum.”

“If I could ever believe there is such a thing as time travel, it would have to include Leonardo DaVinci. How could one man, in one lifetime, envision so many inventions that became reality in the future?” explained Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum president and CEO, John Barry. “Come see for yourself.”
