Come learn about the history, technology and concept of space transportation as presented by former Lockheed Martin engineer Mr. Stephen Kelly and Mr. Martin Sagara, formerly of Sierra Nevada Corporation. The first 40 minutes of the lecture will be a deep dive into what led to the creation of NASA’s space shuttle program, a dive into NASA’s HL-20 concept and how that has transformed into the modern day Dream Chaser® spacecraft developed by Sierra Nevada Corporation. The last 20 minutes will be a walking tour around Wings’ Dream Chaser mock-up.
The lecture will take place on Saturday, July 22nd from 12:00 – 1:00 PM in our Harrison Ford Welcome Theater. Interested? Tickets will also give you entry into the museum for the day.
Steve has had careers in education and the aerospace industry, retiring from Lockheed/Martin Geospatial Systems in 2015. He has served in a number of volunteer roles with Wings over the Rockies Air & Space Museum since 1994.
