Wings Over the Rockies Museum has a world-class research library consisting of books, periodicals, photographs, brochures, clippings, manuals, documents, and scrapbooks. We make this amazing collection available to people performing research on a wide variety of projects.

Use of the library is by appointment only, from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Send an email outlining your request to the Collections Manager: collections@wingsmuseum.org. Someone will get back to you within five business days.

Donations to Collections

At this time, Wings is not accepting donations of:

  • Model aircraft
  • Books
  • Magazines
  • Periodcals

Due to limited storage capacity and the scope of our collections, we are focusing on artifacts that directly support our mission and interpretive goals.

We are actively seeking aviation and space artifacts* that help tell the story of the people, companies, innovation, and industry connected to the Rocky Mountain region. Priority is given to objects that illustrate the unique history of aviation and aerospace in Colorado and the broader Rockies, including items connected to military aviation, commercial flight, general aviation, space exploration, engineering, and the individuals who shaped these fields.

Potential donations are reviewed based on their historical significance, provenance, relevance to our mission, and ability to support exhibitions, education, and preservation efforts.

If you believe your item aligns closely with these priorities, you may submit an inquiry to collections@wingsmuseum.org. You need to be the legal owner of the materials you offer for donation. Please include a description of the object, its history, and photographs for review.
