Collections

Wings Over the Rockies Museum has a world-class research library consisting of books, periodicals, photographs, brochures, clippings, manuals, documents, and scrapbooks. We make this amazing collection available to people performing research on a wide variety of projects.

Use of the library is by appointment only, from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Send an email outlining your request to the Collections Manager: collections@wingsmuseum.org. Someone will get back to you within five business days.

Donations to Collections

Wings is currently limiting new collection donations because of building repairs and limited storage space. At this time, we are not accepting model aircraft, books, magazines, or periodicals.

We welcome offers of aviation and space artifacts connected to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. We are especially interested in materials that help tell the stories of the people, companies, and innovations that shaped aviation and aerospace here.

Our Collections Committee reviews each offer for its historical significance, provenance, connection to our mission, condition, and our ability to care for it. Submitting an offer does not guarantee acceptance.

If you own the materials or are authorized to offer them on behalf of the owner or an estate, please submit an artifact donation offer. Include a description, what you know of their history, and photographs if available. Please wait for instructions from our Collections team before bringing, mailing, or shipping any materials.
