Our programming aligns with STEAM education standards, ensuring that students gain valuable, hands-on learning in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. It offers a 360-degree, fully immersive experience that makes learning science, astronomy and aerospace concepts a fun adventure. Supported by Wings’ expert education team, we make learning about the cosmos exciting and accessible for everyone. Wingsphere Programs

Solar System Grand Tour

Take a tour of the solar system exploring planets and moons and gain an appreciation for the scale of our celestial neighborhood.

Show length: 30 minutes + questions
Recommended Audience: 2nd grade and up

Astronavigation

Before there was GPS, there were stars. The audience will travel back to a time when the only way to navigate the seas was by using the stars and constellations above.

Exploring the Red Planet

Learn about the red planet and its robotic explorers! This show walks the audience through the robotic explorers NASA has sent to Mars and their discoveries. We discuss Mars’ past climate, why scientists believe it used to be habitable and why we search for signs of ancient life there.

Recommended Audience: 4th – 8th grade

The Sun: Our Very Own Star and its Storms

The sun is a star that produces complicated weather and storms, unlike anything we experience on Earth but that can profoundly impact us. This show teaches about magnetic fields, solar flares, coronal mass ejections, sunspots, space weather and this activity’s impact on the Earth and our technology.

Show length: 30 minutes + questions
Recommended Audience: 7th grade and up

Topics:

In order for the Wingsphere to properly fit in your space, please review the following specifications and requirements:

  • The Wingsphere footprint is 6 meters (approx. 20’) and must have clear passageway on all sides
  • Must be in a large gymnasium with minimum 12’ clearance in height
  • Bleachers pulled back if possible
  • Clean floors
  • Access to electricity
  • The maximum capacity of Wingsphere is 20-25 people
