What are your hours?

Both Wings Over the Rockies’ campuses operate on varying schedules. Please check the calendar before your visit for the most up-to-date hours.

Do I need to buy tickets in advance?

Advance tickets are recommended, especially during weekends and special events, but walk-ins are welcome when capacity allows.

Where are you located?

Wings has two locations:

  • The Air & Space Museum in Denver’s historic Lowry Hangar 1 (7711 E Academy Blvd, Denver, CO 80230)
  • Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport (13005 Wings Way, Centennial, CO 80112)

How long should I plan for my visit?

While we encourage visitors to stay as long as they wish to get the full experience, most spend 1.5–3 hours exploring exhibits, aircraft, and simulators.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available at both Wings locations. If attending on the weekend or for an event, we do recommend planning accordingly, as our lots can reach capacity. Street parking is also available.

Is re-entry allowed the same day?

Yes, but only at the same location and with a valid same-day ticket.

Your Experience

Can I sit inside the aircraft?

No. Most aircraft are preserved as historic artifacts and cannot be entered, but select cockpit experiences are offered during special programs like Cockpit Demo Days to get an exclusive peek inside.

Can I take photos? Are cameras permitted?

Yes, photography for personal use is encouraged! Please refrain from complicated setups and be respectful of the guests you may be capturing.

Do you have food available for purchase?

There are some light snacks and beverages available for purchase near the entrance. We encourage guests to pack their own lunch or explore one of the incredible restaurants in our neighborhood.

Are food and drinks allowed?

Food and drinks are allowed only in designated areas. We have two outdoor patios, one by the Learjet, one on the second floor overlooking the B-52, and limited bench seating underneath the B-52.

Yes. Both locations are family-friendly, stroller-accessible, and have accessible elevators.

Is the museum accessible for all visitors?

Yes. Accessible entrances, restrooms, elevators, and wheelchairs (first-come, first-served) are available. Please click here for all info on accessibility.

Yes, we do! Our shop is conveniently located at the main entrance.

Do I need a reservation for simulators?

Simulator experiences may be booked onsite or in advance, depending on availability. We recommend purchasing ahead of time, as some busier days or events can sell out.

Are simulators suitable for kids?

Many simulators are appropriate for children, though height and age restrictions may apply. The MaxFlight can operate upside down, so please plan accordingly.

If you have items related to aviation or space exploration that you would consider donating to the museum, please contact our Curator by email.

You need to be the legal owner of the materials you offer for donation.

The museum cannot provide any appraisals or valuations.
