Join us as we celebrate and recognize Mark Smith with the FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award!

Mark began flying in 1976 and earned his private pilot certificate in 1977, beginning an aviation career that spanned 5 decades. With 10,700 flight hours, including 5,817 hours as an instructor, ATP certification, multiple instructor credentials, and SA226/227 type ratings, he has worked in commuter, regional airline, passenger, cargo, and flight training operations. His experience includes multiple flying clubs, Pioneer Airlines, Trans Colorado Airlines, Aspen Airways, Discovery Airways, DHL, and JEFA (Jeppesen Employees Flying Association). He continues to teach, lead safety and training, and mentor pilots, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to aviation excellence.
