The Navy Week program is designed to share with Americans how their Navy is deployed around the world and around the clock, and why a strong Navy is vital to protecting the American way of life.

From October 12-15, join Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum in celebrating Navy Week in Denver! Talk with Navy Historians, ask questions about Navy History and hear performances by Navy Band Northwest’s Protocol Combo band on October 12 and Brass Quintet on October 13.

On October 12 only, see the U.S. Ceremonial Guard perform prior to both of Navy Band Northwest’s performances!

Navy Band Northwest performances:

October 12 – Navy Combo Band performs:

October 13 – Navy Brass Quintet performs:

Navy Band Northwest’s Jazz Combo, “Cascade,” consists of vocals, guitar, bass guitar, piano and drums specializing in jazz standards as well as transforming modern music into an improvisational jazz style.

Navy Band Northwest’s Brass Quintet is comprised of two trumpets, a trombone, French horn, and tuba. The quintet crosses all musical boundaries from military marches and Americana to classical, jazz and contemporary.

Navy Band Northwest is the premier United States Navy musical organization in the Pacific Northwest Region. Performing nearly 500 engagements each year, Navy Band Northwest enjoys an outstanding reputation throughout the Pacific Northwest. Through military ceremonies, public concerts, and regional tours, Navy Band Northwest serves to heighten esprit-de-corps throughout military and civilian communities, promote patriotism, and increase public awareness of the Navy’s mission. This 35- member unit is comprised of professional musicians, each performing in various ensembles including Ceremonial and Parade bands, Wind Ensemble, a Popular Music Group, a New Orleans style Brass Band, and several chamber ensembles such as Brass and Woodwind Quintets. Directed by Lt. Christopher Cornette, Navy Band Northwest is one of nine official U.S. Navy Bands located throughout the continental United States, Hawaii, Italy, and Japan. Navy Band Northwest is under the operational command of Commander, Navy Region Northwest.
