Scouts Programs

Aviation Merit Badge

Come and learn about aviation basics. Plot your course or flying adventure without ever leaving the ground. Build a glider from a foam plate and experience the Wings Over the Rockies Flight Simulator Room.

This class is included in museum admission. Adults can sit in if space is available. Adults should not register for the class but must pay the museum entry fee.

Prerequisite: Download the merit badge worksheet from scouting.org

Bring your worksheet, a pen, and a sack lunch to the class. Please complete step 5 in advance. Using resources in the list from the back of the worksheet, consider three careers in aviation. Choose the one you are interested in and list the education, training, and experience you need for the job!

Boy Scout Badge Camp

It’s a thrilling summer camp adventure for scouts.  Scouts participate in activities designed to expand their knowledge of aviation and space exploration by earning  Aviation and Space Merit Badges and the Up and Away and Shoot Nova badges.

Cub Scout Badge Camp

Adventure meets learning at Cub Scout Badge Camp! Cub Scouts earn their Up and Away, Tech Talk, Out of this World, and Fearful Symmetry Nova Badges while having a blast at the museum!
