Presentation: Lessons from the Space Shuttle Columbia Mishap

Join us at 11:00 a.m. for a presentation from Wings President and CEO, John Barry, Maj Gen, USAF (Ret) about the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. John was a member of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board that was created to examine the disaster and he will speak first-hand about the accident and share lessons that can be learned from it.

The accident was a major event that was essentially caused by technological, cultural, mechanical and organizational failures. John will explain the “nuts and bolts” of this disaster in a way that can be understood and reflected on.
