Loops, rolls, spins, and a literally dizzying assortment of other maneuvers are the ultimate expression of flight in three dimensions. Pilots compete in contests of precision flying, and airshow pilots astonish crowds with seemingly impossible maneuvers, but many pilots just enjoy aerobatics for fun. As in every aspect of aviation, safety is paramount. The aircraft are meticulously maintained, contests are carefully regulated, pilots wear parachutes and two sets of seatbelts, and wild or careless flying is not tolerated. The Eagle, which can be built from a kit or purchased complete from the factory is still an active aerobatic competitor, over 45 years after it first flew.

During this session, you’ll hear a program overview, meet our educators and instructors, learn from current and former student experiences, and get your questions answered. This meeting will take place at Exploration of Flight (13005 Wings Way, Englewood, CO 80112).
