Experimental Electric Powerplant for Cessna 172

Experimental Electric Powerplant for Cessna 172

Imagine a world where airplanes use sunshine for fuel. That world is becoming a reality! Many companies are developing electric-powered aircraft, and new electric airplanes fly every month. Electric engines are simpler, quieter, smoother, more reliable, easier to operate, and require much less maintenance than their fossil-fueled counterparts. This electric engine powered a Cessna 172 in recent test flights.
