Wings Over the Rockies Announces Women in Aerospace Showcase

Expanding Women’s Opportunities in the Aerospace Community

Denver, CO (March 15, 2021) – Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight (Wings) is pleased to announce a Women in Aerospace Showcase in celebration of Women’s History Month on March 20 at 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The showcase, located at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight at Centennial Airport, will recognize influential women in aerospace and provide an opportunity for women of all ages to learn about careers in the industry. Attendees will be able to connect with over a dozen local university groups, companies and organizations to learn about careers in aviation and aerospace.

At 10:30 a.m., all-star speaker Dagmar Kress, Wings Board member, MSU Denver Professor of Aerospace Science and International Professional Aerobatics Champion will share insights on her career in aerobatics.

At 11:15 a.m., Dawn Zolidi, CEO of P3 Tech Consulting and host of the InterDrone’s “Drones at Dawn” Podcast, will livestream from the event to talk about diversity, equity and inclusion in the drone industry.

“Diversity in STEM-related fields is vital to innovation, which is why Wings is excited to host the Women in Aerospace showcase in honor of Women’s History Month. Wings works to support initiatives to help develop a more diverse generation of future professionals in aviation, aerospace and other technology-related fields.” said Wings Over the Rockies’ President and CEO, Maj Gen John Barry, USAF (Ret).
