The Red Planet
June 4 – June 8 | July 9 – July 13
Campers will explore what it takes to be an astronaut, to prepare for space travel, and to set up a Mars habitat. With physical activities, hands-on building and lots of exploration, campers will be ready to travel to Mars and beyond.
Topics will include, but are not limited to: human needs in space, introduction to engineering design principles and energy sources such as solar, wind and others.
Wings of All Types
June 11 – June 15 | July 16 – July 20
This week, campers will see what it takes to fly—whether you are a bird, a kid or an aircraft. Experience how real aerospace engineers create aircraft from watching birds and have the chance to create their own flying objects. Tours of the museum, chances to design and build and an in-depth look at our feathered friends are all included this week.
The Good Old Days
June 18 – June 22 | July 23 – July 27
With Colorado’s amazing aerospace heritage, campers will experience life as a World War II pilot, a behind-the-scenes look at the museum, hear from Colorado aviation history-makers and role-play life in World War II.
Robotics and Technology
June 25 – June 29 | July 30 – August 3
We live in a world where robots and technology are changing faster than ever. This week will focus on the exciting ways both robots and technology are improving our lives. Campers will explore the role of technology in society and the part it plays in the advancement of society. See robots in actions, have the chance to build robots and use other new and engaging technologies.
Rocket Science 101
July 2 – July 6 | August 6 – August 10
It’s not rocket science—or is it? Discover rockets, from large to small, in Rocket Science 101. Campers will study how rocket engines work and even build and launch their own. Campers will hear from real rocket scientists and learn to think like one too.
Welcome to a world of aerospace wonder. At Air & Space Camp, your 8-12 year old will be immersed in a week-long themed aerospace experience. There are five themed camps to choose from. Each camp is repeated twice throughout the summer and takes place at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. Take a trip to Mars, build robots, hear from rocket scientists and a WHOLE lot more!
