Join us for a presentation at 11:00 a.m. on the Huey helicopter as used in the army Air Calvary units during the Vietnam War. Learn about helicopters, how they work, and how they came to be used in the Army as well as its deployment during the war.

Keith Shaddox is a Vietnam Veteran who served in Army Air Cav D Troop 1^st Squadron 10^th Cavalry in 1970 and 71.  Keith’s specialty was electronics and communications systems and was the Communications Sargent for D Troop. After leaving the Army, he used his Veterans benefits to earn an A & P aircraft mechanics certificate in 1974. Keith took flying lessons occasionally but did not complete his certificate in those years. Keith worked for Xerox Corporation where he completed a 35-year career in advanced digital printing systems. However, aviation was always his passion, and in 2005 he completed his private pilot certification. After owning a Cessna 172 and retiring in 2013, Keith began a rewarding experience volunteering and working in the museum community that surrounds Wings Over the Rockies. Keith now serves as the president of Colorado Aviation Historical Society. He has two grown daughters and a wife of 44 years.
