Flight Training Presentation

Join us at 11:00 a.m. to hear from Valerie Blome, the Pilot Programs Manager at Wings Over the Rockies. Val is a Flight Instructor and Advanced Ground Instructor, with an extensive background in aviation youth outreach. She oversees the Wings’ Flight Training Scholarship Program, generously supported by the James C. Ray Foundation. With scholarship awardees across the state, she has a unique perspective on the flight training industry. She flies Wings’s Varga in support of the EAA Young Eagles program and the Wings’ Teacher Flight Pathway. She has also taught several Private Pilot Ground Schools, including the current Saturday sessions at Exploration of Flight.

In the face of the pilot shortage, the demand for flight training has increased. With the number of students on the rise, how can a fledgling pilot find the right training environment to suit their individual goals? Val will share her insights on how to navigate this increasingly complex industry to find a safe, supportive and fun training experience. Certified pilots who enjoy mentoring aspiring aviators are also encouraged to attend. This presentation is available for FAA Wings Credit.
