Wings Aerospace Exploration Parent / Family Info Night
Full STEAM Ahead – Launch Your Students’ Aerospace Journey!
Join us to learn about both Wings Aerospace Exploration (WAE) and Wings Aerospace Exploration Enrichment (WAEE) opportunities for students in grades 6–12 from the team at Wings Over the Rockies®. During this session, you’ll hear a program overview, meet our educators and instructors, learn from current and former student experiences, and get your questions answered. This meeting will take place at the Air & Space Museum (7711 East Academy Blvd, Denver, CO 80230).
Discover how WAE / WAEE students have the opportunity to explore the wonders of flight, engage with industry professionals, and gain valuable skills for future careers in aerospace. The program includes building and operating RC airplanes, drones, and robotics, as well as coding, rocketry, and LOTS of other aviation and space-related subjects. WAE / WAEE programs complement but do not take the place of an accredited educational institution.

Independence Day: Wings’ Movie Club
Experience the movie where pilots turned into humanity’s last line of defense.
Watch Independence Day surrounded by historic aircraft and discover how one of Hollywood’s most iconic sci-fi films changed the genre forever. Whether you’re a longtime fan or seeing it for the first time, this special 13+ experience will keep you on the edge of your seat!

- Expert Q&A – Hear from fighter pilots about the films iconic flying scenes. What does the movie get right about flying F-18s and where does it go wrong?
- The Skies Above Lowry – Learn about UFO sightings in our neighborhood and how the government ultimately classified them.
- UAPs on the Radar Screen – Browse a collection of explained an unexplained phenomena attributed to UAPs
- Craft – Dive into Early Modern depictions of a celestial phenomena that ufologists attribute to extraterrestrials. Make your own!
- Movie Plane Scavenger Hunt – Find the planes in our museum that appear in Independence Day. Return your scavenger hunt for the chance to win a prize.
- Cosplay – You’re out of this world. Time to flaunt it. Show up in your best extra-terrestrial attire.
