Join Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight for monthly fly-ins featuring planes, pilots and breakfast!

On the first Saturday of every month, enjoy breakfast from a local food truck, watch aircraft fly in and explore interactive exhibits and simulators.

Presentation: Aviation Winter Survival

Join us in the classroom at 11:00 a.m. for an informative presentation from David Gissen on aviation winter survival. The presentation will cover topics such as getting help, staying warm, frostbite, hypothermia and survival gear.

David is a Board-certified anesthesiologist who has experience as the Winter Coordinator for Carson City Search and Rescue as well as a member of the El Dorado Nordic Hasty Team – a winter back country rescue/ski team. David is also a Commercial Pilot and is certified in Single Engine Land, Multi Engine Land, Instrument, Glider, Tailwheel, and Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic.

This presentation is eligible for WINGS Pilot Proficiency Program credit.
