Introduction to Ground School is a four-part workshop created to offer students ages 12-17 the basics of pilot training and inspire a love of flight.
Please email Flight@WingsMuseum.org to register.
The cost to attend ground school is $30. This fee provides the attendee with an annual “student membership” to Wings Over the Rockies. Museum members are FREE.
This course includes an introductory FLIGHT in a single-engine aircraft with a certified Colorado pilot. Flights will be individually scheduled at a later date, and will take place at Wings Over the Rockies Exploration of Flight on the south side of Centennial Airport.
Content Includes:
- Requirements to become a pilot
- Aircraft parts and terms
- Aerodynamics
- Aircraft systems and instruments
- Airport signs and lighting
- Airspace fundamentals
