Join Wings’ Curator, Chuck Stout for an interesting talk on “What We’ve Learned from Flying” at 11 AM in the Exploration of Flight classroom to hear aboutHow did flying change from a dangerous, foolhardy challenge that attracted only daredevils and thrill seekers, into an industry where perfect safety is expected (and usually achieved)? Things like checklists and decision-making strategies have made their way from cockpits into everyday life. You might be surprised at how often we all use methods and procedures developed in airplane cockpits!
